Collingwood Society 2022 Talk – ‘Nautical phrases, slang and idioms’

Terry Walton returns to the lectern, this time with ‘Nautical phrases, slang and idioms’. Discover where ‘learning the ropes’ came from, what a ‘square meal’ is and why you had to ‘shake a leg’. There’ll be no need to ‘cut and run’ and we’re sure Terry will come through with ‘flying colours’. (Note: There will be a special raffle prize at this meeting).
