A tax free gift in your Will is another way to support our objective and the subsequent running of a Museum in Morpeth and costs you nothing during your lifetime. We would be grateful for amounts over £250.00.
Note using the phrase “tax free” in your Will means that any bequest will be paid after inheritance tax, so that Friends of Morpeth Museum will receive the legacy you intend.
If tax planning is of importance and you would prefer to make a gift before inheritance tax is assessed, then we would suggest a legacy to the Morpeth Antiquarian Society (registered charity number 507640) or the registered charity that will be set up to run the Museum when established. Registered charities do not pay tax on bequests.
